On a cold winter day in February 2009, Laurie and Doug Large set out on a walk along Spring Road through the Southwest Shore, taking some wonderful photos along the way.
In January 2010 Gordon Sleeter hiked along a snowy Highway 18 above the Southwest Shore Colony, and he took some photos along the way looking down at the cabins below.
